On HPE ProLiant Compute Gen12 servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9.4, 10 or potentially any future RHEL releases, the following message, or similar messages, may appear multiple times in dmesg:pci 0000:10:00.0: ROM [mem size 0x00100000 pref]: failed to assignThis message indicates an installed PCIe card requested memory space for a legacy/UEFI Option ROM. Since legacy/UEFI Option ROM is executed only during boot time, the failure to assign this space does not have any negative impact on the server.
