The Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) installer for Windows 2022 and 2025 is not included in the Synergy Service Pack (SSP) Version 2025.05.01 for Gen11, Gen10 Plus, and Gen10 Compute Modules with an HPE Mezzanine Storage Controller.
Any HPE Synergy 480 Compute Module listed below running Windows 2022 or Windows 2025 and configured with an HPE Mezzanine Storage Controller:Synergy 480 Gen11 with an SR416ie-mSynergy 480 Gen10 Plus with a P416ie-mSynergy 480 Gen10 with a P416ie-m
This issue is resolved inHPE Synergy Service Pack SY-2025.07.02(or later).As a workaround, if you are updating an existing system that has been configured with an earlier SSP release, any previously installed SSA components will remain without modification.If this is a system that is being configured for the first time, the HPE Storage Controller (SR416ie-m Gen11, P416ie-m Gen10 Plus or P416ie-m Gen10) must be configured in either of the following ways:Configure the array controller through a OneView server profile.OrConfigure the array controller using Redfish per theHPE SR Gen11 Controller User Guide.OrConfigure the array controller using the iLOrest utility. Refer to theStorage commands for RDE capable devices.OrIf the SSA is required, the SSA can be installed manually.
