For any HPE OneView for Synergy version managing or monitoring Fibre Channel interconnects listed in the Scope section below, the module management Domain Name and DNS Servers defined under the IP Address pool in the OneView settings will not be configured on the Interconnect module.
In the scenario described above, any HPE OneView for Synergy version managing or monitoring Logical interconnects configured with any of the following Interconnects:Brocade 16Gb Fibre Channel SAN Switch for HPE Synergy running FOS firmware versions prior to 9.2.2a.Brocade 32Gb Fibre Channel SAN Switch for HPE Synergy running FOS firmware versions prior to 9.2.2a.HPE Virtual Connect SE 16Gb Fibre Channel Module for Synergy running firmware versions prior to 5.95.209.HPE Virtual Connect SE 32Gb Fibre Channel Module for Synergy running firmware versions prior to 5.95.209.
For Virtual Connect FC modules: To avoid this issue, update the firmware to version 5.95.209 (or later). Firmware version 5.95.209 has been included in HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2025.07.02. These versions can be found at theHPE Synergy Software Releasespage. For Brocade FC switches: To avoid this issue, update the FOS firmware to version9.2.2a(or later). If this issue has already occurred, perform the steps shown below.IMPORTANT:The proposed workaround requires that the datacenter networking configuration accommodates the DHCP, or external management of all IP addresses on the management plane. This applies to all devices managed by OneView, including the compute module iLO IP addresses (not only the affected interconnect modules). The workaround only affects the management plane and does not impact any running workloads. From OneView, go to the Enclosure Group page.Select IPv4 / IPv6 iLO, or Interconnect configuration.Select the option "Use DHCP" or "Manage Externally" (and configure DNS).On the Logical Enclosure, perform an Update From Group.Revision HistoryDocument VersionRelease DateDetails3August 6, 2025The Resolution section has been updated with the firmware versions containing the solution.2February 11, 2025The Resolution section has been updated with additional information.1February 03, 2025Original Document Release.
