An HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or iLO 6, in certain cases, on any HPE ProLiant servers with HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port 621SFP28 adapters installed, the Interface Status on the iLO Web Interface for Network under System Information is inconsistent. It toggles between “Link Down” and “Unknown” under the condition that the network cable is not connected, and the network interface is disabled in the host operating system.This does not affect the operation or functionality of the network adapter or server.In some cases, while the Network cable is disconnected and the network interface is Enabled in the host Operating System, then under System Information->Network, the Status is displayed as “Unknown”:While the Network cable is disconnected and the same network Interface is Disabled in Operating System, then under System Information->Network, the Status is still displayed as “Unknown”:In other cases, while the Network cable is disconnected and the network Interface is Disabled, under System Information->Network, the Status is displayed as “Link Down”:The Redfish API also returns the undefined status in such circumstances.curl -k --location "https://<User Name>:<Password>@<hostname>/redfish/v1/Systems/1/EthernetInterfaces/{Interface} "| jq{"@odata.context": "/redfish/v1/$metadata#EthernetInterface.EthernetInterface","@odata.etag": "W/\"0A67270D\"","@odata.id": "/redfish/v1/Systems/1/EthernetInterfaces/DC080000","@odata.type": "#EthernetInterface.v1_4_1.EthernetInterface","Id": "DC080000","FullDuplex": false,"IPv4Addresses": [ ],"IPv4StaticAddresses": [ ],"IPv6AddressPolicyTable": [ ],"IPv6Addresses": [ ],"IPv6StaticAddresses": [ ],"IPv6StaticDefaultGateways": [ ],"InterfaceEnabled": null,"LinkStatus": null,"MACAddress": "94:f1:28:b4:c6:36","Name": "","NameServers": [],"SpeedMbps": null,"StaticNameServers": [ ],"Status": {"Health": null,"State": null},"UefiDevicePath": "PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x4,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)"}curl -k --location "https://<User Name>:<Password>@<hostname>/redfish/v1/Systems/1/EthernetInterfaces/{Interface} "| jq{"@odata.context": "/redfish/v1/$metadata#EthernetInterface.EthernetInterface","@odata.etag": "W/\"B3A7B033\"","@odata.id": "/redfish/v1/Systems/1/EthernetInterfaces/DC080001","@odata.type": "#EthernetInterface.v1_4_1.EthernetInterface""Id": "DC080001","FullDuplex": false,"IPv4Addresses": [ ],"IPv4StaticAddresses": [ ],"IPv6AddressPolicyTable": [ ],"IPv6Addresses": [],"IPv6StaticAddresses": [ ],"IPv6StaticDefaultGateways": [ ],"InterfaceEnabled": true,"LinkStatus": "LinkDown","MACAddress": "94:f1:28:b4:c6:36","Name": "PCIe Slot 1 Port 1","NameServers": [ ],"SpeedMbps": null,"StaticNameServers": [ ],"Status": {"Health": "OK","State": "UnavailableOffline"},"UefiDevicePath": "PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x4,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0)"}
