Document VersionRelease DateDetails2January 9, 2024Added information to the end of the Resolution section1November 1, 2023Original Document Release.On any server running HPE Intelligent Provisioning, the "Firmware Update" feature will not function via Performance Maintenance and Rapid Setup. As a result, the firmware cannot be updated from the internet repository using these functionalities.In addition, the "Install OS from the Internet" feature will not work via Rapid Setup.
Any of the following configurations are impacted:HPE Intelligent provisioning version 2.xx running on HPE ProLiant Gen9 servers.HPE Intelligent provisioning version 3.86 and below running on HPE ProLiant Gen10 and Gen10 Plus servers.HPE Intelligent provisioning version 4.20 and below running on HPE ProLiant Gen11 servers.
The firmware update can be performed by downloading the latest firmware from the HPE Support Center or using HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP).OS installation can be performed offline using DVD, FTP, SMB/CIFS or USB methods.These issues are corrected in Intelligent Provisioning version 3.88 for Gen10 and Gen10 Plus systems. For Gen11, they will be corrected in a future version of Intelligent Provisioning.
