An HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen11 server running Peer-to-Peer data transactions and configured with multiple NVIDIA L4 24GB PCIe Accelerators for HPE may experience Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (UMCE) errors during shutdown or reboot. The following is an example of the error that may be seen (Bus, Device, Function addresses may change depending on where the NVIDIA GPUs are installed):Uncorrectable PCI Express Error Detected. OCP Slot 14(Segment 0x0, Bus 0x34, Device 0x5, Function 0x0).Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (Processor 1,APIC ID 0x00000000, Bank 0x00000006, Status 0xBA000000'00000E0B, Address 0x00000000'00000000, Misc 0x00000000'34280000).Uncorrectable Error Detected on the Previous Boot.Error information logged to the Integrated Management Log.

To prevent this issue, installSystem ROM v1.34_05_04_2023(or later) then follow the process below before initiating Peer-to-Peer data transactions.1. Power on the server and press "F9" during POST to enter BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU).2. Navigate to RBSU> Virtualization Options > Access Control Service.3. Change the Access Control Service option to "Disabled."4.
