HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2022.09.01 lists support for VMware ESXi 7.0 U2; however, the qlnativefc driver smart component in these SPPs is not compatible with VMware ESXi 7.0 U2. Attempts to deploy these SPPs onto a system running VMware ESXi 7.0 U2 will either fail to deploy the qlnativefc driver with an error or will not select the qlnativefc component for updating.
This issue is caused by driver software development kit (SDK) differences between VMware ESXi 7.0 U3 and earlier versions of VMware ESXi 7.0 that prevent drivers built for VMware ESXi 7.0 U3 from being installed on earlier versions.
NOTE
: The latest qlnative driver supported on VMware ESXi 7.0 U2 is 4.1.34.0.

Resolution
The latest qlnativefc driver supported on VMware ESXi 7.0 U2 is version 4.1.34.0.
