The Mellanox Ethernet+RoCE driver will not load on HPE systems running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 Service Pack 4 installed with Errata Kernel 5.14.21-150400.24.11.1 (or later). One or more symbols that the Mellanox driver modules used were altered with the errata kernel version 5.14.21-150400.24.11.1; therefore, breaking the kABI for the driver modules. After restarting the driver modules, an Out of Memory issue occurs, causing the system to stop responding and display the following message:

Cold reboot the system if an Out of Memory issue occurs after the driver modules are loaded. After the OS boots back up and the console is available, use the following command to uninstall the RoCE driver RPMs: ofed_uninstall.sh After the driver RPMs are uninstalled, install the new driver RPMs built on errata kernel version 5.14.21-150400.24.11.1: For the Synergy Network Adapter HPE Synergy 6410C 25/50Gb Ethernet Adapter(868779-B21), use: MellanoxEthernet+RoCE driver version 5.8-1.1.2.1(A) compiled for errata kernel For other affected Network Adapters, use: MellanoxEthernet+RoCE driver version 5.8(A) compiled for errata kernel RECEIVE PROACTIVE UPDATES : Receive support alerts (such as Customer Advisories), as well as updates on drivers, software, firmware, and customer replaceable components, proactively in your e-mail through HPE Support Alerts.
