Any HPE platform running SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5 and configured with an HPE Ethernet 10/25Gb 2-port SFP28 MCX4121A-ACUT (817753-B21) with firmware v14.31.1200 (or later) and mlx5_core inbox driver v5.0-0, configured to use bonding/teaming. Note: The network adapter(s) in this document are affected by a naming standard change for HPE products to help customers quickly and easily identify the specific vendor and model while configuring HPE platforms. For more information about the name changes and for identification purposes, refer to the following Customer Notice: HPE Network Adapters - Product Renaming Framework And Plan For HPE Network Adapters
To resolve this issue perform either of the two following actions: Run the Out-Of-Box (OOB) drivers instead of the mlx5_core inbox driver v5.0-0. OR Upgrade to SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15. Workaround As a workaround for systems where either of the actions above cannot be performed, downgrade the firmware of the HPE network adapter to version 14.29.1016 (or prior). Firmware v14.29.1016 is included in the Online Firmware Upgrade Utility (Linux x86_64) for HPE Mellanox Ethernet only adapters Version 1.0.14. Note: There is no plan for this issue to be resolved in a future firmware version for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12.
