On any HPE platform configured with any of the HPE Broadcom-based network adapters listed in the Scope section below; the network adapter may experience Data dropping when User Datagram Protocol (UDP) multicast streams exceed 15 streams when NPAR is enabled. There may be no errors logged other than any application depending on the multicast stream may see lost data. Note: To isolate the issue, the user can reduce the number of multicast UDP streams to less than 14. Also, when promiscuous mode is enabled, the issue does not occur, but this is not considered a workaround for production.

To resolve this issue, download and install the following firmware component: HPE Broadcom NetXtreme-E Firmware Package for BCM5741x adapters Version 225.1.095000 Note : This firmware component version corrects ALL_MULTICAST Virtual Functions stopped receiving multicast traffic once PF joined the same group.
