Download and install the HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus controller PSOC firmware from the following URLs to prevent this issue: PSOC Firmware Flash for Windows - HPE MR216i-a and MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controllers version 3.0.0.0 (or later) PSOC Firmware Flash for Linux(x64) - HPE MR216i-a and MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controllers version 3.0.0.0 (or later) PSOC Firmware Flash for ESXi7.0 and 8.0 - HPE MR216i-a and MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Tri Mode Controllers version 3.0.0.0 (or later) Steps : If this issue has already occurred, and the MR Controller is not detected, perform the following steps to recover the MR Controller. If the controller is detected, skip steps 1 and 2. Remove the AC power cords and wait 10 seconds. Plug the AC power cords back in and power up the server to recover the MR controller. Perform the following steps to prevent this issue from occurring: Download and run the Smart Components from the above URL to update the PSOC firmware. Gracefully shut down the server from the Operating System. Smart Components from the above URL will auto AUX power cycle the server. Wait for one (1) minute and power up the server again to activate the new PSOC firmware. Run the Smart Components again to make sure the PSOC firmware version is 0x1e (i.e., decimal 30). NOTES : The Smart Component displays “PSOC Hardware version and PSOC Firmware version.” PSOC Firmware version : 0x1d (or earlier) PSOC Hardware version : 0x7 The Smart Component displays “PSOC firmware is already up to date” if the PSOC firmware is already in 0x1e with PSOC hardware version 0x07 after the PSOC firmware update.
