Any version of HPE OneView 6.60.03 or earlier will be unable to update HPE Gen10 or Gen10 Plus servers with HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2023.03.01 or Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) 2023.03.00.00 or later. There will always be a firmware update failure that can manifest as any one of the following errors:

The firmware update operation was unable to update one or more components on server <servername>. (SHFW_035)
"
"
An unexpected server power off was detected during the firmware update. (SHFW_079)
"
OR
"
The server hardware was expected to be powered on or performing a power on self test, but instead power was off
."
Scope
Any version of HPE OneView 6.60.03 or earlier will be unable to update HPE ProLiant Gen10 or Gen10 Plus servers with HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2023.03.01 or Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) 2023.03.00.00 or later.
Resolution
This issue is corrected in HPE OneView 7.0 or later versions, and in OneView LTS 6.60.04.
Update to OneView by selecting the appropriate version:
For Synergy servers, select HPE OneView 6.60.04 LTS, HPE OneView 8.1, or later.
For ProLiant servers, select HPE OneView 6.60.04 LTS, HPE OneView 7.0, or later.
After updating OneView, remove SSP 2023.03.01 or SPP 2023.03.00.00, and then add it back.
NOTE: If the SSP/SPP are not removed and added back as stated in step 2, the issue will still occur.
