When Intel Virtual RAID on CPU (VROC) SATA mode is enabled in Gen11
servers running System ROM version 1.22, if a SATA drive is hot-removed then plugged back
in, the SATA drive may no longer be automatically detected by the operating system.
The RAID array will be degraded when the drive is hot-removed and will have to be
rebuilt.
There will not be a warning message when this occurs.

Any of the following HPE Intel-based Gen11 servers running System ROM version
1.22:
HPE Alletra 4110
HPE Alletra 4120
HPE ProLiant DL320 Gen11
HPE ProLiant DL360 Gen11
HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen11
HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen11
HPE ProLiant DL380a Gen11

This issue has been addressed with System ROM 1.30 (or later):

As a workaround, reboot the system and the drive will be detected.
