Info
When a RIBCL call to write to MOD_SNMP_IM_SETTINGS is made, the "Trap Source Identifier" in the Management --> SNMP Settings page of the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) or iLO 4 web interface gets changed to "iLO Hostname" even when the "OS Hostname" is previously set. This occurs even if that parameter is not included in the RIBCL call.
Note:
This issue may also be observed whenever a lifecycle operation in HPE OneView is performed such as a server refresh, the server is e-fused, or the server is removed/re-inserted as OneView uses RIBCL to manage some of the iLO 5 or iLO 4 settings.
Scope
Any HPE system with iLO 5 firmware v2.81 (or earlier) or iLO 4 firmware v2.82 (or earlier).
Resolution
As a workaround, manually set the Trap Source Identifier back to OS Hostname if previously set.
For iLO 5, to resolve this issue, update to iLO 5 firmware v2.90 (or later).
