On any HPE ProLiant Gen10/Gen10 Plus platform configured with a Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE, and is using the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2022.09.01.00 to perform an upgrade; the Smart Update Manager (SUM) will fail to automatically select the 22_33_1048-MCX623106AS-CDA_Ax.pldm.fwpkg firmware component for deployment. The payload JSON included in the component has an incorrect firmware version string "20.33.1048" instead of the expected version "22.33.1048". When Smart Update Manager (SUM) compares the baseline component version in the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) against the installed version (22.xx.xxxx) on the target network adapter, the baseline version appears to be lower, therefore, the component does not get selected for automatic deployment.

To resolve the issue, download and install the following firmware component: Mellanox Firmware Package (FWPKG) for Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE Version 22.33.1048(A) Note: This component can be used in a custom deployment of the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2022.09.01.00.
