On any HPE platform with a Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE, the firmware update for the network adapter will fail. An issue with the binary header string has been identified with the Firmware Package(FWPKG) version 22.33.1048 released to HPE.com and also included with the HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2022.09.01.00. The binary header string issue will prevent the firmware from being updated on the network adapter.
Any HPE platform configured with a Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE (P25960-B21). Note: The network adapter(s) in this document are affected by a naming standard change for HPE products to help customers quickly and easily identify the specific vendor and model while configuring HPE platforms. To resolve this issue, download and install the following firmware component: Mellanox Firmware Package (FWPKG) for Mellanox MCX623106AS-CDAT Ethernet 100Gb 2-port QSFP56 Adapter for HPE Version 22.33.1048(A) Note: For more information about the installation, refer to the Installation Instructions tab.
