A software defect was introduced in recent patches for Ezmeral Data Fabric versions v6.1.0 and v6.1.1. The patches that introduced this defect are: mapr-patch-6.1.0.20180926230239.GA-20220606045112.x86_64.rpm mapr-patch-6.1.1.20210324131839.GA.GA-20220614022915.x86_64.rpm The defect causes repetition of a container in "InactiveServers/UnusedServers" status, to get stuck in the "resync"/"become master state". When this occurs, the following will be returned by the dump containerinfo command:

Given the inherent rigor of validation in regular release builds over patch builds, Support strongly recommends that when possible, you should upgrade your clusters to the latest releases to avoid the occurrence of known-and-fixed issues. Since Ezmeral patches are version-specific and cumulative you can apply the latest patch from http://sftp.mapr.com After applying one of the above patches (or later mapr-patch releases), the container whose Warden was stopped gets only one entry in "InactiveServers" list: IMPORTANT: After applying one of the patches containing the fix for this issue, if any of the below problematic scenarios occurs, contact HPE Support and reference document ID: a00127989en_us. These scenarios must be fixed manually by HPE Support. Copies stuck in Resync. Two copies of a container are in valid state and one in an inactive state. The Container Location Database (CLDB) believes there is a replica of the container on 10.103.76.120; however, there is no such replica. Multiple entries of the same copy in inactive and unused. Copy with BM also has an entry in unused, and CLDB asks the MFS configuration file to delete that copy. Healthy master, resyncing node also listed as inactive, the third inactive server does not have a replica on disk.
