Info
For any HPE Edgeline EL8000 10GbE SFP+ Switches, an unexpected internal network connection to the Edgeline chassis controller (management module) may occur through the 1GbE Serial Gigabit Media Independent Interface (SGMII). As a result, the switch may connect to external networks through the HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) management port of the Edgeline chassis controller.
This issue only occurs when the EEPROM part number on the switch is different than MX25L12835FM2I.
