Info
The HPE Moonshot iLO Chassis Manager (CM) firmware on the HPE Moonshot 1500 Chassis does not delete an idle WEB GUI session that has expired, even if the session timeout setting is configured. The default session timeout value is set to 30 minutes.
For example, when the session timeout value is set to 30 minutes, the idle WEB GUI sessions do not expire after 30 minutes. They remain on the Moonshot iLO Chassis Manager->Action Sessions->All Sessions list.
This will lead to an issue where other users cannot login to the CM when the CM is running out of open session limits.
Note: For information about setting the session timeout value, see the HPE Moonshot iLO Chassis Management CLI User Guide.
Scope
Any HPE Moonshot iLO Chassis Manager (CM) firmware on the HPE Moonshot 1500 Chassis. This only applies to CM1 (iLO CM).
Resolution
The investigation of this issue has been completed. At this time, there are no plans to implement a fix. Please continue to use the provided solution as outlined below.
To disconnect an iLO CM firmware session manually:
1. From the main menu, select Active Sessions. The Active Sessions page opens.
2. In the All Session section, select the check box next to the session to disconnect. The current session is displayed in bold text.
3. Click Disconnect Session. If the current session is selected, the following message appears: "You have selected your current Web UI session. Disconnecting this session will force a logout of this browser window. Are you sure you want to disconnect your current session?"
4. Click Yes to continue, or click Cancel. If the current session is disconnected, the browser returns to the login page. If a remote session is disconnected, the following message appears: "Active Session(s) successfully disconnected."
Refer to the
HPE Moonshot iLO Chassis Management Web Interface User Guide
