On any HPE ProLiant Gen10 Server or Synergy Gen10 Compute Module running VMware ESXi 6.x/7.x, when performing an Online Firmware and Driver update using Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP)/Synergy Service Pack (SSP) with Smart Update Manager 8.9.0, once the System ROM is updated, the update of the next component is delayed until there is a server reboot. An Online Firmware and Driver update using SSP/SPP with Smart Update Manager 8.9.0, on any HPE ProLiant Gen10 Server or Synergy Gen10 Compute Module running VMware ESXi 6.x/7.x.
The issue is fixed in Smart Update Manager 8.9.1 (or later), found in SPP 2022.03.0 or later. For Synergy Gen10 compute modules, use Synergy Service Pack 2022.02.01 or later, which contains the SUM 8.9.1, to perform Online Firmware and Drivers updates.
