Info
HPE OneView for VMware vRealize Operations (vROps) may be unable to collect information from OneView for resources, such as enclosure, server, network, server profiles, etc. This issue will occur if the OneView adapter or any resource instance does not have an entry for "RACK" configured as a resource in OneView.
Rack represents a Parent entry that allows metrics to be displayed for the Child resource entries (enclosure, server hardware, network, drive enclosure, etc.). The metrics for the configured resources will not be collected or displayed without the Rack object being added. The following OneView for vROps is an example of this missing data object:
Scope
Any HPE OneView instance, i.e., an enclosure, server hardware, network, drive enclosure, etc., that is a configured resource that does not have a "RACK" object added in User Interface for HPE OneView for VMware vRealize Operations (vROps).
Resolution
To resolve this issue, add a Rack object within the OneView environment for the Remote Support resource.
OneView Rack
When a OneView for vROps adapter is installed and configured, the status of the OneView adapter should display in OneView something similar to the example below:
