Info
When deploying a firmware or driver update from HPE OneView using the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) on any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server running VMware ESXi 6.7 (or later) with Integrated Smart Update Tools (iSUT) version 2.7.0 (or later) and configured with any of the HPE network adapters listed in the Scope section below; the OneView server profile will display an alert similar to the following after updating the SPP and activating the firmware and drivers:
"The following firmware components are inconsistent with specified firmware baseline: HP FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 536FLB Adapter (SHFW_025)"
The CP045077.zip (HPE Blade QLogic NX2 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for VMware version 1.2.2) will be listed but will not get selected, if the online firmware update is initiated using OneView 6.0 (or later). Note that the baseline has a newer version (7.18.77) than the installed version (7.18.26) on the VMware ESXi host.
This issue occurs because the meta.xml in the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) lists the old firmware version 7.18.26 in payload; therefore, the Smart Update Manager (SUM) does not select the component CP045077.zip for installation.
Scope
