If HPE OneView is upgraded from 5.00 to 5.00.01 and then later to any other release on a Synergy Composer 2, secure boot authentication failure alerts may be seen at each boot with the text, "Appliance bay 1 : OneView detected a Secure boot authentication failure on this appliance." The following entry will be seen in the Composer 2 iLO Integrated Management Log:
"Secure Boot Authentication Failure - The image on NVMe Drive 1 failed authentication and was not executed."
This issue does not affect any Composer 2 installed with OneView 5.00.01 or newer or was upgraded from OneView 5.0 with a version newer than 5.00.01.
Scope
Any HPE Synergy Composer 2 installed with HPE OneView 5.0 and upgraded with HPE OneView 5.00.01.
Resolution
This issue is corrected in
OneView 6.40
,although the message can be safely ignored.
It is safe to ignore this message which will be seen every time the Composer 2 is re-started.
OR
Alternatively, re-image the Composer 2 to prevent the issue.
