When installing the latest driver for the HPE m750 ConnectX-4 Lx 2 Port 10Gb LOM Adapter of HPE ProLiant m750 server blades, the following error message will be displayed when using LOM firmware version 14.26.1040:
"
Mellanox ConnectX-4 Lx Ethernet Adapter Firmware version 14.26.1040 is below the minimum FW version recommended for this driver.
Minimum recommended Firmware version for this driver: 14.29.634.
It is recommended to upgrade the FW, for more details, please refer to WinOF-2 User Manual.
To resolve this an upgrade must be performed on the HPE m750 ConnectX-4 Lx 2 Port 10Gb LOM Adapter to version 14.30.1004. After installing the error message will no longer appear
."
The error messages occur because of firmware version 14.26.1040 (or earlier) for the HPE m750 ConnectX-4 Lx 2 Port 10Gb LOM Adapter:
Cap is set to "0" for high index functions to avoid too many parallel VF NODNIC functions.
The Tx will become unresponsive when a duplicate packet rollback occurs.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant m750 Server Blade with an HPE m750 ConnectX-4 Lx 2 Port 10Gb LOM and a firmware version earlier than 14.30.1004.
Resolution
To resolve the issue, upgrade the HPE m750 ConnectX-4 Lx 2 Port 10Gb LOM Adapter Firmware Version 14.26.1040 to Firmware Version 14.30.1004. After installation, the error message will no longer appear.

Download the Smart Component to a directory on your hard drive and change to that directory.
From that drive and directory, execute the downloaded file.
Click the Install button to proceed with the installation.
Reboot the system. A reboot is required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.
