Booting Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2020.09.0 (or earlier) via the Integrated Lights-Out (iLO) Virtual Media on ProLiant Gen10 servers may intermittently fail and log an Uncorrectable Machine Check Exception (UMCE) to Integrated Management Log (IML) or display an Illegal Opcode Red Screen when set for Legacy BIOS mode.

Resolution
The issue has been resolved in Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) version 2021.04.0.

As a workaround for earlier SPP releases, change the server coonfiguration from Legacy BIOS mode to UEFI boot mode before booting the SPP image via iLO Virtual Media.
