The HPE Synergy Composer (1st Gen) appliance requires 2-port Frame Link Modules (FLM) for use within the same frame. Within a management ring, all frames that do not contain an HPE Synergy Composer (1st gen) appliance support the use of 4-port Frame Link Modules. An HPE Synergy Composer (1st gen) appliance must not be placed in the same frame as a 4-port FLM. It may be possible to start HPE OneView on a Composer (1st gen) in a frame with a 4-port FLM, but the behavior is indeterminate and will not operate correctly. For example, Composer (1st gen) may not show in the Appliance Settings page.
