On an HPE Apollo 6500 system, a Purple Screen of Death (PSOD) may occur when installing an HPE ESXi 7.0 U2 image on a ProLiant XL675d Gen10 Plus server. During boot, the PSOD will occur on the host. This occurs because the PSOD happens before the install is complete, and the host does not get on the network. When this occurs, the following is displayed: BlueScreen: #PF Exception 14 in world 2098369:retireWld.01 IP 0x42003558c48f addr 0x43120005643f PTEs:0x80000a9023;0x807dc17063;0x0; cpu131:2098369)Code start: 0x420034800000 VMK uptime: 0:00:01:48.398 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609b888:[0x42003558c48f]IntrAck@(smartpqi)#<None>+0x3 stack: 0x420060c00000 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609b890:[0x4200348dd244]IntrCookie_DoInterrupt@vmkernel#nover+0x429 stack: 0x430344e07a80 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609b940:[0x4200348dd481]IntrCookie_VmkernelInterrupt@vmkernel#nover+0x3a stack: 0x70 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609b960:[0x420034950ab4]IDT_IntrHandler@vmkernel#nover+0x9d stack: 0x0 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609b980:[0x420034949067]gate_entry@vmkernel#nover+0x68 stack: 0x0 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609ba48:[0x4200348861c6]Power_ArchPerformWait@vmkernel#nover+0x106 stack: 0x420060c00a00 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609ba50:[0x42003488629e]Power_ArchSetCState@vmkernel#nover+0x8f stack: 0x0 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609baa0:[0x420034b7c1f4]CpuSchedIdleLoopInt@vmkernel#nover+0x275 stack: 0x420060c00100 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609bb10:[0x420034b7fe8c]CpuSchedDispatch@vmkernel#nover+0x163d stack: 0x420060c00140 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609bd50:[0x420034b80ff3]CpuSchedWait@vmkernel#nover+0x2f4 stack: 0x0 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609bed0:[0x420034b811b3]CpuSchedSleepUntilTC@vmkernel#nover+0xbc stack: 0x420060c05d08 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609bf60:[0x4200348daedc]IntrCookieRetireLoop@vmkernel#nover+0x1ed stack: 0x237d8f939e cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609bfe0:[0x420034b81df5]CpuSched_StartWorld@vmkernel#nover+0x86 stack: 0x0 cpu131:2098369)0x453aa609c000:[0x4200348c2c23]Debug_IsInitialized@vmkernel#nover+0xc stack: 0x0
