Any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server with HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID or HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus server with HPE Smart Array SR100i Gen10 Plus SW RAID, running Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or Microsoft Windows Server 2019 with HPE Smart Array Cmdlets version 1.0.0.1 (or later); the Scripting Tools for Windows PowerShell (HPE Smart Array Cmdlets) cannot configure any logical drive for the drives connected because the physical drives cannot be recognized.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant Gen10 server with HPE Smart Array S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID or HPE ProLiant Gen10 Plus server with HPE Smart Array SR100i Gen10 Plus SW RAID, and running Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or Microsoft Windows Server 2019 with HPE Smart Array Cmdlets version 1.0.0.1 (or later).
Resolution
This functions as designed. Physical drives resource is masked in the S100i SR Gen10 SW RAID or SR100i Gen10 Plus SW RAID controller because they are "RAID-only" controllers; therefore the Physical Drives are not exposed to the Operating System and there are no configuration options.

The following storage management software suite can be used to manage and configure the s100i attached devices:
