On any HPE platform running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Microsoft Windows Server 2016 or Microsoft Windows Server 2019 and configured with a Broadcom NetXtreme adapter, an update error may occur with the HPE Broadcom NX1 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for Windows Server x64 Editions when performing a remote Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) update. This issue occurs because the ngBMAPI.dll and BMAPI.dll from the following two components cause a conflict: Agentless Management Service for Windows x64 Version 2.41.0.0 (cp046676.exe) HPE Broadcom NX1 Online Firmware Upgrade Utility for Windows Server x64 Editions Version version 5.2.4.0 (cp045014.exe)

As a workaround, perform either of the following procedures: Procedure 1 Stop the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) by typing "net stop ams" in a command prompt. Run the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) with cp045014.exe. Once the update is complete, restart the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) by typing "net start ams" in command prompt. Procedure 2 Run Services.msc. Find HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) service in the list. Right-click on AMS item and stop HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS). Run the Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) with cp045014.exe Once the update is complete, restart the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS) by doing right click on the AMS item and start the HPE Agentless Management Service (AMS).
