On any combination of the HPE ProLiant servers and HPE Network Adapters mentioned in the Scope section below running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019, when the smart component is used to downgrade the network adapter driver to an earlier version HPE Blade QLogic NX2 10/20 GbE Multifunction Drivers, the system will indicate that the operation was completed successfully. However, the drivers will not be downgraded, and the version will remain the same as before the downgrade attempt.
Scope
Any of the following servers running Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/2019:
HPE ProLiant BL660c Gen9 Server Blade
HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen10 Server Blade
HPE ProLiant BL460c Gen9 Server Blade
AND
Configured with any of the following network adapters running the driver HPE Blade QLogic NX2 10/20 GbE Multifunction Drivers:
HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 534M Adapter
HPE FlexFabric 10Gb 2-port 536FLB Adapter
HPE FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630FLB Adapter
HPE FlexFabric 20Gb 2-port 630M Adapter
Resolution
Use either of the following methods if it is necessary to downgrade the network adapter driver:
Do not downgrade; rather, upgrade drivers to a newer version.
OR
Execute the smart component to attempt the downgrade again; the driver may be successfully downgraded the second time.
