In Onboard Administrator (OA) running firmware versions 4.90 (or earlier), updating HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) to v2.10 (or later) using the OA Command Line Interface (CLI) command "UPDATE ILO" will fail with following error:
OA-A45D36FDCC29> update ilo 16 http://xx.xxx.xx.x/ilo5
The file was not a proper iLO image for the blade.

This occurs due to a new signature in the iLO 5 firmware v2.10.
Scope
Any HPE OA c-Class BladeSystem with firmware versions 4.90 (or earlier) updating iLO 5 to firmware v2.10 (or later) using the OA CLI command "UPDATE ILO."
Resolution
Update the OA firmware to 4.95 (or later) to be able to use the OA command "UPDATE ILO" to update iLO 5 to firmware v2.10 (or later).
To download OA firmware 4.95 (or later), perform the following steps:

Enter a product name (e.g., "Onboard Administrator") in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product and select it.
The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page:
For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment.
Locate and select the
HPE BladeSystem c-Class Onboard Administrator
Firmware
version 4.95.
click the Revision History tab to locate the latest version.
