Original Document Release
After performing a Secure Erase on an HPE Synergy Gen10 compute module running HPE
Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) v2.15, the compute module may not be left powered on as
expected.
Scope
Any HPE Synergy Gen10 compute module running iLO 5 version 2.15.
Resolution
Upgrade the firmware to iLO 5 version 2.98, or later. After upgrading, the server
behaves properly on a secure erase.
As a workaround, power on the server manually by pressing the power button.
In addition, the compute module can be powered on using the iLO 5 web interface,
command line interface (CLI), Rest interface, or Remote Insight Board Command Language
(RIBCL) interface.
