Info
The auto-update feature in HPE Version Control Repository Manager (VCRM) 7.6.5 (or earlier) will stop functioning by the end of August 2020 as a result of a change in the internal URL used by VCRM to perform auto-updates in version 7.6.6 (or later), rendering the older versions obsolete.
This will cause the following issues:
Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) may not get downloaded to a target repository; instead a few individual components may get downloaded when doing auto-update.
Saving the Entitlement Token will fail with error message "unable to connect" in Change Repository and Update Settings wizard.
Scope
HPE Version Control Repository Manager 7.6.5 (or earlier).
Resolution
Upgrade or install
HPE Version Control Repository version 7.6.6
or later to continue using the Auto-update feature.
OR
Download the
Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP)
manually and place it in a repository.
