Intel Omni-Path Fabric Suite (IFS) Software versions 10.7.0.0.145, 10.8.0.0.204, 10.9.0.1.2 and 10.9.2.0.9 are affected by the following Fabric Manager (FM) related issues: When an Inter Switch Link (ISL) goes down in the middle of a Fabric Manager (FM) sweep (due to a disruption in the fabric such as a reboot), the SA copy of topology becomes invalid when the Fat Tree routing algorithm is used. SA queries that use this topology (for example, path record query) fail as a result. Bouncing a link or rebooting a device under certain fabric conditions may cause a switch in the fabric to be removed from the Fabric Manager's internal view of the topology leading to fabric disruptions and instability. In cases where GSI (General Services Interface) is active and the Fabric Manager (FM) is receiving capability change traps (common after node reboots), Fabric Manager (FM) responsiveness may be impacted. This could result in data traffic disruption or unexpected FM failovers.

Do not use Intel Omni-Path Fabric Suite (IFS) version 10.7.0.0.145, 10.8.0.0.204, 10.9.0.1.2 or 10.9.2.0.9 for Fabric Manager purposes. If using any of these versions, upgrade to Intel Omni-Path Fabric Suite (IFS) version 10.9.3.1.1: To download the Intel Omni-Path Fabric Suite (IFS) version 10.9.3.1.1 (or later), perform the following steps: Click the following link: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home Enter the product name "HPE 100Gb 1-port OP101 QSFP28 x16 PCIe Gen3 with Intel Omni-Path Architecture Adapter" in the text search field and wait for a list of Suggested Products to display. From the Suggested Products list displayed, identify the desired product "HPE 100Gb 1-port OP101 QSFP28 x16 PCIe Gen3 with Intel Omni-Path Architecture Adapter" and select it. The page should refresh to display the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" tab and the components that support the selected product. From the "DRIVERS AND SOFTWARE" expandable filter menus on the left side of the page: Select the Software Type - "Driver" For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Linux Operating System from the Operating Environment. Locate and select the "Intel Omni-Path Fabric Suite (IFS) Version 10.9.3.1.1" (or later). Note: To ensure that you have selected the latest version of the firmware/driver, click the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available.
