Original document release
On HPE Superdome Flex servers, when a user is removed from the Rack Management Controller (RMC) or Embedded Rack Management Controller (eRMC) at the Command Line Interface (CLI), all CLI sessions that belong to the removed user will be terminated.
However, if the same user is logged into the KVM or JViewer, that user GUI session will continue to function until the chassis Base Management Controller (BMC) is rebooted.
Scope
Any HPE Superdome Flex server.
Resolution
This issue is corrected in firmware version 3.10.174:
https://www.hpe.com/global/swpublishing/MTX-853845c8bf6e4fab88fdf51735
As a workaround, in order to make sure that all user sessions have been terminated after removing the user, including GUI sessions, reboot the chassis BMC via the CLI REBOOT BMC command after removing the user at the CLI.
