IMPORTANT : This drive firmware HPG1 is considered a critical fix and is required to address the issue detailed below. HPE strongly recommends immediate application of this critical fix. Neglecting to perform the required action could leave the server in an unstable condition, which could potentially result in sub-optimal server performance or data loss. By disregarding this notification and not performing the recommended resolution, the customer accepts the risk of incurring future related errors. In rare instances, there is a potential data integrity risk and performance drop issue for certain HPE Gen9/Gen10 server platforms when they are configured with specific HPE SATA 6G PM883 Solid State Drive (SSD) models as listed in the Scope section below. HPE has released firmware version HPG1, which prevents the issue from occurring and corrects the anomalies described in the Release Notes below. Upgrade all drive models on server models specified in the Scope section to the firmware version HPG1.
