On an HPE Edgeline EL1000 PXI or HPE Edgeline EL4000 PXI chassis with HPE ProLiant m510 or ProLiant m710x Server Cartridges installed with a System ROM (H05 or H07) version 1.20_04_24_2017 (or earlier) running Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2, or older operating systems, the keyboard and mouse do not function in the iLO Integrated Remote Console. This does not occur with Microsoft Windows 10 or Windows Server 2016. Note: The keyboard and mouse are not affected and can be used to navigate through the UEFI System Utilities or BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU).

HPE ProLiant m510 or ProLiant m710x server cartridge System BIOS (H05 or H07) Version 1.30_08-17_2017 will prevent this issue from occurring. Click the following link: https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/home Enter a product name (e.g., "m510") in the text search field and wait for a list of products to populate. From the products displayed, identify the desired product and click on the Drivers & software icon to the right of the product. From the Drivers & software dropdown menus on the left side of the page: Select the Software Type - (e.g. BIOS) For further filtering if needed - Select the specific Operating System from the Operating Environment. Select the System BIOS Version 1.30_08_17_2017 or later. Note: To ensure the latest version will be downloaded, click on the Revision History tab to check if a new version of the firmware/driver is available. Click Download. The System BIOS (H05 and H07) Version 1.30_08_17_2017 or later has a RBSU menu which allows user to enable PCI Express Native support for Edgeline EL1000 PXI and EL4000 PXI chassis when using Microsoft Windows 7, Windows Server 2012 R2, and older Windows operating systems. The iLO Integrated Remote Console will work after enabling PCI Express Native support. Procedure On the HPE ProLiant m510 or m710x Server Cartridges -> From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > PCI Express Native Control and press Enter. Select "Enabled" and press Enter. Press F10.
