To improve reliability, software version 3.13.9 is available for HPE StoreOnce Systems running software version 3.13.8 or earlier.
For HPE StoreOnce VSA systems running software version 3.13.5 and earlier, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends upgrading to software version 3.16.3 or later, which is available on the HPE website. See Customer Notice a00023107 for information on obtaining the software.
In order to upgrade to software version 3.13.9, you should first be running v3.13.8, 3.13.5, 3.13.4, 3.13.3, 3.13.2, 3.13.1 or 3.13.0 software or one of the two previous software versions, 3.12.x and 3.11.x.
If you are running older software than 3.11.x, you must update to HPE StoreOnce 3.11.7 (or the latest available version of 3.11 software) first.
NOTE: Software version 3.13.9 is not supported on the HPE StoreOnce 3100, 3500, 5100, 5500, or 6600 series backup systems currently shipping, or HPE StoreOnce 6500, 2900, 2700, 4500, 4700, or 4900 series systems that have been upgraded to software version 3.15.0 or later.
NOTE: Due to a change in the key signing process, StoreOnce systems running software version 3.13.8 and earlier will need to upgrade to HPE StoreOnce version 3.13.9 before attempting to upgrade to any future StoreOnce 3.13.x release.
