IMPORTANT: The drivers in the Resolution section are considered a critical fix and they are required to address the issue detailed below. HPE strongly recommends immediate application of this critical fix. Neglecting to perform the required action could leave the server in an unstable condition, which could potentially result in sub-optimal server performance or data loss. By disregarding this notification and not performing the recommended resolution, the customer accepts the risk of incurring future related errors. Note: T he “Jumbo Packet” feature is disabled by default. This occurs because the drivers do not correctly calculate the Memory Descriptor List (MDL) payload pointers while coalescing the Rx packets larger than 2084 bytes (Jumbo Frames). HPE has released this Customer Bulletin as the result of Intel Technical Advisory TA-234 that describes this issue.
