On an HPE Apollo 70 server, when setting the time under the System BIOS or in the Operating System, the time in the System Event Logs (SEL)of the Base Management Controller (BMC) will not be synced with the time which was just set.
When this occurs, the timestamp is changed and changed back several times in the BMC event log; for example:

This occurs during setup of a new time under the BIOS or OS. The time of BMC will not be changed to the new time which was just set.
Scope
Any HPE Apollo 70 server running Firmware Version 1.0.4.
Resolution
A future release of firmware will correct this issue.
As a workaround, After setting up a new time in the System BIOS or OS, perform a cold reset on the BMC. The BMC will sync the Real Time Clock (RTC) time during boot. Therefore, the BMC time will be synced with new time setting after a cold reset.
