Version 2.1.000 of the Hyper-V Quorum Witness (QW) image has a vLAN tag set in it by default, which is embedded in the IOS image. This vLAN tag may cause the newly-deployed QW to be unable to interact on the network in which it is deployed.
Any new Peer Persistence Software - Quorum Witness version 2.1.000 configured with Hyper-V is affected by this issue.
To allow the new Quorum Witness to interact on the network, edit the settings of the virtual machine, and under Network Adapter , deselect Enable virtual LAN identification for management operating system: NOTE: Products sold prior to the November 1, 2015 separation of Hewlett-Packard Company into Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company and HP Inc. may have older product names and model numbers that differ from current models.
