Any HPE ProLiant WS460c Gen9 server, HPE Synergy 480 Gen9 Compute Module, HPE ProLiant m710x Server Cartridge or HPE ProLiant m510 Server Cartridge running Microsoft Windows 10 Build 1709 (Fall Creators Update).
This is a known issue to Microsoft and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. A fix for this issue has been documented by Microsoft in a Knowledge Base article, KB 4055537 and can be found on the Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055537/config-initialization-failed-error-when-installing-windows-server NOTE: KB 4055537: Contains instructions for slipstreaming to update to create a new .iso image that will install on affected servers. KB 4056892: The patch is in the Windows Server 10 version 1709 January cumulative update. If installing Windows Server 1709 install media, is required to slipstream update to the base 1709 image. The issue is resolved in the January 3, 2018 -KB4056892 (OS Build 16299.192) release available at: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4056892 If immediate support is required, request assistance directly from Microsoft support and reference Knowledge Base article KB 4055537.
