When Agentless Management Service (AMS) Version 1.15 (or later) is installed on a ProLiant server running Microsoft Windows Server 2016, the following critical events may be logged in the Windows Event Log - Application Log:

Event Source:
Perfnet Event Description: Unable to read Server Queue performance data from the Server service. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the status code, the second four bytes contains the IOSB.Status and the next four bytes contains the IOSB.Information.
The event is logged when PerfNet.dll fails to provide the requested information in a 'Clustered' processor groups environment.
In the background, AMS requests the following information from PerfNet.dll via WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation): Win32_PerfFormattedData_Counters_ProcessorInformation.
The issue will occur when all of the following are true:
The NUMA Group Size Optimization is set to "Clustered" in the ROM-based Setup Utility(RBSU) Power and Performance Option.
The system is running Windows Server 2016 but without the required update from Microsoft.
The AMS version 1.15 (or earlier) is installed.
Scope
Any HPE ProLiant server running Agentless Management Service (AMS) Version 1.15 (or later).
Resolution
Install the following Windows update, KB4057142, available for download and installation from the following Microsoft website:
