On HPE Cloudline CL2200 Gen10 or HPE Cloudline CL2100 Gen10 servers with an Intel X710-series Ethernet Controller installed, the Subsystem ID may be incorrectly reported. All PCIe functions except Function 0 may report a Subsystem ID of 0x0000 in the configuration space, regardless of the value programmed in the NVM. In the example below from the BIOS setup menu, the first port is displayed with "OCP" as the full branding string, while the second port is without the "OCP" wording:
Any HPE Cloudline CL2200 Gen10 or HPE Cloudline CL2100 Gen10 servers configured with an Intel X710 Ethernet Controller from the following Option Kit: HPE Part Number Description Supplier PN P01666-B21 HPE CL Eth 2x10Gb X710 PCIe3 Card EX710DA2G1P5
There is no functional impact to the server and as per Intel, a fix will not be developed. However, this may impact the branding of the device if the Subsystem ID is used to select the device branding string.
