Updated resolution with permanent fix, Superdome Flex Firmware Version 2.4.98

Original document release
On an HPE Superdome Flex server, when the Embedded Rack Management Controller (eRMC) is under a heavy computing load, COLLECT DEBUG and UPLOAD DEBUG may take over two hours to produce a compressed lighthouse log file. This can occur if orphan processes are left behind by root shell access.
This only occurs in rare instances, because firmware blocks root access from external interfaces. If the eRMC stays sluggish for over 10 to 15 minutes, rebooting the eRMC will clean up the orphan processes.
Scope
Any HPE Superdome Flex server.
Resolution
Superdome Flex firmware version 2.4.98 corrects this issue:

As a workaround, allow the UPLOAD DEBUG or COLLECT DEBUG to complete, then run REBOOT RMC to reboot the eRMC.
