Original Document Release.
On HPE Synergy Gen9 or Gen10 compute modules running VMware ESXi 6.x and configured with HPE Synergy 3820C or HPE Synergy 2820C Converged Network Adapters, HPE Synergy Composer may randomly report
"Server profile settings conflict with the server hardware configuration"
alerts after a compute module refresh, enclosure refresh or Synergy composer restart.
This occurs because the VMware ESXi 6.x driver for the HPE Synergy 3820C or HPE Synergy 3820C Converged Network Adapters is incorrectly modifying the "personalityChecksum" value for the compute module when the driver loads during Operating System (OS) boot.
If the compute module hardware is refreshed after VMware ESXi 6.x is booted, the "personalityChecksum" value will no longer match the previously saved value from when the profile was assigned.
Scope
Any HPE Synergy Gen9 or HPE Synergy Gen10 Compute Module running VMware ESXi 6.x and configured with HPE Synergy 3820C or HPE Synergy 2820C Converged Network Adapters running firmware versions 7.15.37 or 7.14.79.
