Document Version Release Date Details 2 10/09/2017 Updated Resolution with permanent fix,CPLD firmware/ECP 1 06/27/2017 Original document release On a ProLiant m510 server cartridge installed in an HPE Edgeline EL4000 Converged Edge System, a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) may occur if cartridge Slot 2 is powered on prior to powering on cartridge Slot 1. This only affects the cartridge in Slot 2. When this occurs, the following is displayed in the iLO Chassis Manager:
Any HPE ProLiant m510 server cartridge configured in Slot 2 of any HPE EL4000 PXIe System (847536-B21) when Slot 2 is powered on before Slot 1.
CPLD Version 08 corrects this issue. To prevent this issue, power on the cartridge in Slot 1 first via the iLO GUI, before powering on the cartridge in Slot 2. The CPLD is available in the following components: HPE Edgeline EL4000 PXIe Chassis Programmable Logic Device for Windows - cp032315.exe HPE Edgeline EL4000 PXIe Chassis Programmable Logic Device for Linux - CP033097.scexe The components are available in the Edgeline Component Pack (ECP) Version 2017.08.0.
