Info
On HPE Data Protector Version 9.08_113, automatic deletion of unprotected media belonging to B2D (Backup-To-Disk) devices is not successfully performed during the Daily Maintenance window. This occurs becaue the omnitrig command is missing "-all" when starting the "omnimm -delete_unprotected_media" command.
Media is not deleted from Internal Data Base (IDB) and B2D store; therefore, resources will continue to be consumed unless manual Data Protector intervention is performed.
Scope
Any supported platform running HPE Data Protector version 908_113.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, it is recommended to install HPE Data Protector Version 9.09 (or later). On this version, Omnitrig command starts with the correct parameters "omnimm -delete_unprotected_media -all".

As a workaround, schedule command "omnimm -delete_unprotected_media -all" to run daily using Task Scheduler, cron or any other job scheduler available.
