Symptoms

Issue Description During the installation, SDS could not be added.The command fails with communication error message Scenario Initiate ScaleIO installation with SDS device larger then 8TB Symptoms Installers fails to add SDS with an error message: Error: MDM failed command. Cause

Root cause ScaleIO supports devices up to 4TB, in case of larger device size, an exception in SDS might occur, which will cause temporary unavailability of SDS.

Resolution

Workaround Only devices up to 4TB should be used
