Symptoms

After upgrading VPLEX firmware to 5.5.x, SRM VPLEX performance reports no longer show data - All >> Report Library >> EMC VPLEX >> Clusters >> FNM00xxxxxxxxx >> Virtual Volumes >> Virtual VolumesThe SRM VPLEX collection logs do not contain any errors, but collection time on performance data is completed in 0ms.INFO -- [2016-09-30 14:37:21 EDT] -- DefaultParsingEngine::runContext(): Started polling configuration 'performance-virtual-volumes-cluster2': VPLEX0. Cause

The vvol-collector.py script from SRM v3.7 does not support the 5.5x VPLEX Firmware. The VPLEX expects the latest enhanced script to contain NEWHEADER.The current SRM script, opt/APG/Collecting/Stream-Collector/emc-vplex/conf/vvol-collector.py no longer works with VPLEX 5.5.x.

Resolution

Copy the attached vvol-collector.py script onto /opt/APG/Collecting/Stream-Collector/emc-vplex/conf/vvol-collector.py on all SRM VPLEX collectors. Also, copy the script into /home/service/ on all VPLEX clusters. This has been resolved under SRM v4.0.
